Partner with us
We're building this with the Deaf community — not around it.
Simple ASL is a small, independent team. We deeply respect Deaf culture and ASL as a living language carried by the people who know it. We are not here to replace signers. We are here to help more people find them, learn from them, and pay them.
Paid signer program
We're actively looking for Deaf signers, CODAs, and fluent interpreters to record original vocabulary and teaching clips for the app and site. Every minute of footage is licensed and paid — not scraped, not borrowed.
- Per-clip and per-hour rates, paid on delivery.
- You keep credit on every clip. Your name, bio, and a link of your choice appear on each entry you record.
- You can request removal at any time. Our review workflow treats that as a first-class operation, not a favor.
- Regional variation is valued. We want to ship variants, not flatten them into one "standard" sign.
How we work
No scraped video
We do not embed or cache Lifeprint, ASL Signbank, or any other source's media. We link out. Their work stays theirs.
Honest labels
Every video ships with a performer role tag — Deaf native, Deaf fluent, or learner-created — and a review status. Learners don't get mistaken for authorities.
Corrections welcome
If we get something wrong, tell us. We'll fix it, credit you, and document what changed in the release notes.
Revenue share, not extraction
As the product earns, recurring signers share in revenue — not just one-off session fees. We want the people who make this possible to benefit when it succeeds.
A note from the team
We know there is a long history of hearing companies showing up, taking, and leaving. We don't want to be that. We're here to listen first, build second, and pay the people who make this language come alive. If you see something that's not right, please tell us — we'd rather hear it early.
